ALBUM is delighted to announce an exciting and thought-provoking speaker line-up for the ALBUM Conference 2026, hosted by Blackpool Transport sponsored by Pelican Bus and Coach and Passenger Technology Group!
Taking place between Monday 11th and Wednesday 13th May 2026, the conference will bring together leading voices from across the industry to explore the evolving challenges and opportunities facing the bus sector. Guided by the theme “Embracing Change: Making shifts in policy and market expectations work for you,” the programme highlights practical ways the industry can adapt and thrive amid ongoing change.
The keynote speaker, Steve Norris – who was Minister of Transport who oversaw the privatisation of London Buses – will share his insights and provide a unique perspective on how the SME sector can evolve in the face of franchising and the changing bus operating landscape.
ALBUM is also pleased to welcome a range of expert speakers covering key industry topics:
- Chris Cheek – award winning author and passenger transport analyst – will reflect on the 30th anniversary of the UK Bus Awards, alongside presenting his latest research for CPT on the impact of congestion on bus passengers
- Dave Joshua will discuss how AI is already shaping the sector and why operators need to act now
- Stelios Roudoulis will highlight new skill sets and resources from the Bus Centre of Excellence for operators and local authorities
- Jane Cole OBE and Bev Holden will look at the bus industry from a people perspective
- Alison Edwards, Director of Policy and External Relations at CPT, will address the topic of anti-social behaviour and how it affects women on the public transport network
- Kerri Cheek, Senior Bus Safety Development Manager, will share insights from Transport for London
The 2026 Conference is already proving to be hugely popular. Following strong demand for exhibition space, additional exhibitor stands have been released, with only a limited number now remaining. Limited sponsorship packages are also still available, and the value of involvement at the ALBUM Conference continues to grow, as reflected by a 60% net increase in Associate Members during 2025.
With a refreshed format, high-profile speakers, and strong industry interest, ALBUM Conference 2026 promises to be an unmissable event for operators, suppliers, and all those working in the bus sector.
We look forward to welcoming you in Blackpool!
